We have some very exciting news to announce! The Federal Public Charter Schools Grant Program (PCSGP) is a discretionary grant program administered by the Charter Schools Division to assist in the development to open high-quality charter schools.
iLEAD Agua Dulce applied and submitted the necessary requirements for this grant and was approved to receive $475,000 to enhance our program and provide more opportunities for our learners. Needless to say, we are beyond thrilled to receive the approval.
The purchases from the funds will be done in stages this school year and will include :
- An Exploratorium which contains a wide range of multimedia technology. The Exploratorium will be a fully-integrated learning environment where everything from the furniture and technology to curriculum and assessment work together to support hands-on, learning.
- A Makery where our learners will learn how to properly use and build with hand and power tools, a tinkering station where they can take apart/create/put back together various types of items, and a robotics station to fuse all of their creations and designs.
- Promethean ActivTables in each classroom
- Apple TVs and projectors
- Art and music labs
- Agricultural tools, greenhouse and gardening supplies
- Transforming sections of our yards into outdoor classrooms with specialized items to promote discovery, design, imagination and exploration for all ages
