iLEAD Agua Dulce’s commitment to project-based learning was on full display with the successful launch and exhibition of the Campus Legacy Project on Thursday, October 23. The school-wide initiative brought together learners from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade to take ownership of their learning environment by improving and beautifying their campus.
A Lasting Mark of Ownership and Collaboration
The event invited the public to view and interact with learners’ presentations of learning, a key component of project-based learning at iLEAD Agua Dulce. Attendees saw firsthand how learners collaborated across grades and curricula to enhance their school’s outdoor spaces.
Projects designed and completed by the learners included three new pumpkin patch garden beds, an outdoor amphitheater, innovative bug hotels, an owl box, and various creative art features celebrating learner voice and community pride.
