A Message from iLEAD Agua Dulce School Counselor Toya Williams (Ms. T):
As we move into the season of gratitude and reflection, I want to take a moment to celebrate the hard work, growth, and resilience I’ve seen across all grade levels. Whether it’s our TK learners practicing kindness and teamwork, middle schoolers building confidence and friendships, or high school students planning for their futures, every learner is showing tremendous progress!
As your school counselor, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space for all learners—academically, socially, and emotionally. Please remember that my door is always open for check-ins, support, and guidance.
November Highlights
Grades TK-5: Focus on Kindness and Gratitude! Encourage learners to share daily acts of kindness at school and home.
Grades 6–8: Learners should continue to focus on positive peer relationships, strengthen communication and problem-solving skills.
Grades 9–12: High school learners should focus on college and career readiness. We’ll explore post-secondary options, A–G requirements, and opportunities through AVC and community programs.
Seniors: Keep an eye on scholarship deadlines and college application support sessions this month!
Counseling Corner
This month’s theme: Building Resilience Through Gratitude
Practicing gratitude helps us stay positive and cope with stress. Encourage your learner to reflect on one thing they’re thankful for each day—big or small!
Family Tip of the Month
Spend a few minutes each evening sharing “one good thing” that happened during the day. This simple activity builds connection and helps learners develop a positive mindset.
Stay Connected
If you or your learner need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help with academic planning, social-emotional wellness, and career exploration.
