Dear iLEAD Agua Dulce Families,
We are so excited that all the items for our Maker Space have been ordered! Our Maker Space will include power tools, hand tools, workbenches and creative building areas, small robotics, and tinkering. Stay tuned for our ribbon-cutting ceremony when it is complete. Our Makery will be utilized in conjunction with the classroom projects and hopefully as a specialty class next year. Our next project coming up will be completing our Art Lab!
With all our learning spaces, including the Exploratorium and Outdoor Classroom, our learners will be taking the knowledge they’ve gained in the classroom and connecting it with real-world application in a plethora of areas. In addition, they’ll have the skills needed for college and the workforce.
Lastly, a huge thank-you goes out to Senator Scott Wilk and Assemblyman Tom Lackey for not only visiting our school but genuinely taking time to learn more about our program, holding a Q&A with our 4th-7th grade learners, and spending a lot of time participating in activities in our Outdoor Classroom. We truly appreciate the hours you gave to our school!
With gratitude,
Lisa Latimer
School Director
