learners sing Jamboree

Dear iLEAD Agua Dulce Families,

As we quickly approach the end of the school year, I would like to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation to you, our families, for entrusting us with your children’s education. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, determination and passion the learners have demonstrated this year, which have truly inspired us.

I also want to acknowledge the phenomenal support provided by our entire staff to ensure the success and well-being of our learners. The commitment of the staff each and every day to celebrate accomplishments, support learners academically, guide their passions, and help them achieve their best is beyond measure.

We have many reasons to celebrate this school year, including receiving our Western Association of School and Colleges (WASC) six-year re-accreditation and becoming an International Baccalaureate (IB) accredited school. Both accreditations are highly significant and are a testament to our commitment to provide a rigorous and well-rounded program. Both accreditations recognize our school for meeting the standards of excellence criteria in all areas. We are incredibly proud of these achievements!

In addition, we added some amazing specialty classes, including our now-completed Makery, Farm to Table culinary class, Animal Program and Music/Rock Band. We have a team of 6th and 7th grade learners preparing to send their experiment on microgravity to the International Space Station, our 8th grade learners culminated their project on the principles of flight by piloting a real glider, our high school learners competed in the Model United Nations program at both UCLA and USC, and so much more.

We were able to connect at fun family events, such as our Box-Car Family Night, incredible PLAY Day, Winter Production and end-of-the-year Jamboree.

The learners took their experiences off campus, visiting places such as the Museum of Tolerance, Discovery Cube, LA Zoo, Reagan Library, Medieval Times, Getty Museum, Ventura Mission, and more. And we are currently preparing for our upcoming 2023-24 school year trips, which include Sacramento, Pali Mountain, Catalina, Washington, DC, and Costa Rica!

Lastly, our learners dove deep into engaging and real-world projects, connecting with experts in the field and exploring rigorous driving questions that had them thinking on a higher level.

Thank you for an amazing school year. We hope your summer is filled with enjoyable memories, and we look forward to seeing you on August 15.

With gratitude,

Lisa Latimer
School Director
