IB Career-Related Programme

iLEAD Agua Dulce is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Career-Related Programme and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to improving the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high-quality programs of international education that share a powerful vision.**

The IB Career-Related Programme (CP) is a comprehensive course of study for 11th and 12th grade learners.

In order to fulfill the IB CP certification requirements, candidates are required to complete the following in 11th and 12th grades:

  • A minimum of two IB Diploma courses
  • A career-related study course
  • A unique IB CP program core:
    1. Personal and Professional Skills
    2. A Reflective Project (related to the chosen career-related study)
    3. Language Development
    4. Service Learning (project to be tailored to the career-related study)

iLEAD Agua Dulce is in the application process for the IB Career-Related Programme. If authorized by the IB, beginning with the class of 2023 (current sophomores), iLEAD Agua Dulce will offer learners who major in business an opportunity to pursue the IB Career-Related Certificate.

* Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programs: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-Related Programme (CP).
