May 31: Memorial Day – No School
Dear Families, We had a great week with a lot of learning taking place. TK/K had their Presentation of Learning, and we were all so proud of the grit they put forth. Our 5th and 6th grade learners also had an amazing POL, as they created their own “Pop Up” museum to display their artifacts
This Saturday, March 9, 6th-12th grade girls will have fun exploring science, tech, engineering, and math through hands-on activities at the 7th Annual STEM Conference for Girls, hosted by the Antelope Valley Union High School District.
We’re organizing our spring sports season, and the three spring sports are: Pee Wee Basketball (K-3) Flag Football (Grades 4-6) Girls Volleyball (Grades 4-6) Once we are sure we have enough teammates to fill a team, we will send home more information, so let us know if you’re interested as soon as possible. With the new year comes a reminder about the importance of attendance. As a project-based school, attendance is vital. Project-Based Learning requires collaboration, discussions, working in cohorts, and research. In addition, the facilitators confer daily with small groups in the areas of math and reading to ensure our learners are reaching their academic goals. These
Are you interested in running the Box Tops for Education program for us? We are looking for a parent or guardian to collect these monthly, trim them, and submit them. There is a jar in the front office for collecting them if anyone has any to donate.
