The El Dorado County Office of Education invites families to attend two upcoming virtual workshops focused on supporting children with autism. The first workshop, “Autism: Evidenced-Based Practices for Families,” will be held on November 5. The second workshop, “Autism: Understanding Executive Functioning for Families,” will take place on February 19. Both workshops are designed to equip parents with valuable insights, resources, and strategies to help their children thrive.

Autism: Evidenced-Based Practices for Families

This professional learning opportunity will help educate families on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It will cover resources and supports available from CAPTAIN and AFIRM and guide families on Evidenced-Based Practices (EBPs), their importance, and how to choose appropriate EBPs for their child. Additionally, this training will share resources for specific age groups and visual supports to support families’ understanding of ASD.

If you require the meeting to be interpreted, please contact 530-295-2467 at least a week before the event so we can accommodate your needs.
