After-School Workshops

*5 Week Sessions* Ongoing through May 3rd.

Please email nicole.higdon@ileadaguadulce.org to sign up for workshops. Once you sign up for the workshop, that learner will be enrolled for the entire 5-week session. Please remember, there is Spring Break April 15th-19th, so there will be NO classes that week.

Mondays, 3:30-4:30 p.m. – Mindful Mondays with Miss Gibson

Come and experience a peaceful beginning to each week. Our mindfulness class will touch on conscious breathing techniques, relaxing the body, healthful eating habits, and other relaxing activities to calm the mind and set a wonderful tone for the whole week!

Wednesdays, 3:30-4:30 p.m. – Let’s Get Crafty with Miss M

(One-time $5 material fee)

Because of the materials and tools, this class has a 12-person maximum capacity and a $5 materials fee.

Ever go to a craft fair and wonder “how did they do that?” Well, we are going to find out! Join us for a fun-filled hour each week as we explore the creative world of crafts using all different type mediums. This class will be using glue guns, so we will require a permission slip to join our class, but all are welcome! Special Makery Permission slips will be sent home to the 12 learners that sign up.

Fridays, 12:30-1:30 p.m. – Outdoor Explorers with Miss Bybee

Want to explore the outdoors and get your hands messy? Come join Miss Bybee every Friday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Outdoor Explorers. In this workshop, learners will have the opportunity to be fully immersed in nature! Learners should be eager to learn more about animals and plants. Various activities are planned for our Outdoor Explorers, including pitching a tent and flying a kite. Learners will try their hands at gardening, observing insects, making bird feeders, AND SO MUCH MORE!

Note: Please send an extra pair of clothes/shoes with your child as we will be getting dirty!

Fridays, 12:30-1:30 p.m. – Spirit Squad Continues with Ms. Tyler

The spirit squad is for girls and boys of all ages. The purpose of the spirit squad is to motivate and positively influence the student body. Join us and learn chants, dances and stunts to invoke school spirit for our campus. Please bring water, a snack, and tennis shoes.

Fridays, 12:30-1:30 p.m. – Theater Continues with Mrs. Morrison

The best way for young actors to grow is for them to perform. This semester, our after-school Theatre Club will rehearse and perform a scripted play. Learners will rehearse Friday afternoons and perform at the end of the year for an invited audience of family and friends. Theatre Club is a creative, fun, team oriented after school activity that requires a big time commitment and provides a great personal reward when completed. In order to produce a quality production, attendance is of the utmost importance.
