Monday message 03.14.2022

Dear Families,
We are so excited that our Presentations of Learning are now live and in person. On Friday, our 7th and 8th grade learners had a health fair for our younger learners. Their sdriving question was “How can we use data to optimize our school community health?”

They chose to do this project because they wanted the learners to really understand what growing bodies need and how to make healthy decisions. Throughout this six-week project, learners explored nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, stress management, screen time, and how to make S.M.A.R.T. goals. They created surveys each week and studied the data collected to create informative booths for the health fair designed to educate the younger learners. Their goal was to create a fun way for the visiting learners to gain knowledge on the best ways to keep their bodies healthy mentally and physically. We are looking forward to more POLs this month!

With gratitude,
Lisa Latimer
