Welcome to this week’s staff spotlight at iLEAD Agua Dulce! Today, we’re excited to feature Ms. Taylor, an incredible member of our iLEAD Agua Dulce community. Ms. Taylor’s dedication and warm spirit are a true asset to our learners and families. In this Q&A, we’ll get to know her better, from her role on campus to what she loves most about our school.
Please tell us about your background and how you came to be at iLEAD Agua Dulce.
I’m an iLEAD parent. Along with being an employee, I have a son in 5th grade and a daughter in 3rd.
What is your role at iLEAD Agua Dulce? What’s the best part about it? What’s the biggest challenge?
My role at iLEAD Agua Dulce is Student Support Care Team member. I love what I do. Getting to work with the students and building relationships with them makes every day worthwhile!
What do you LOVE about iLEAD Agua Dulce? What sets it apart from other schools?
I love the community of our school! My kids transferred from a regular public school, and since then I feel that they have truly blossomed! The energy this school has I have never felt anywhere else.
What are some events you enjoy at iLEAD Agua Dulce?
I have loved being a part of our annual Play Days and Jamborees! I get a chance to interact with fellow parents in our community, and it has always been a blast!
There are great social-emotional learning activities/opportunities at iLEAD Agua Dulce. Can you share a story about seeing learners using them in action (or yourself)?
I have seen countless moments on the playground of our learners engaging in this. Whenever a learner gets hurt, there are always two or three learners with that one, supporting the hurt learner, making sure they are okay, and getting a Care Team member to them ASAP.
What does a day in your school life look like?
On a typical day, I split my time between two learners. I assist them with their assignments and support them in and out of the classroom. If one of my learners is absent, however, I will serve another learner or learners who need it.
Please name three fun facts about you. Extra credit for lots of details.
Thank you, Ms. Taylor, for sharing your insights and experiences with us! Your passion for our learners and the iLEAD Agua Dulce community is truly inspiring. It’s clear that you not only support our students but also bring a vibrant energy that makes our school a special place.
