With the new year comes a reminder about the importance of attendance. As a project-based school, attendance is vital. Project-Based Learning requires collaboration, discussions, working in cohorts, and research. In addition, the facilitators confer daily with small groups in the areas of math and reading to ensure our learners are reaching their academic goals. These are all valuable components that cannot be made up with worksheets, and will impact grades if your child misses frequently. We strongly encourage you to bring your child to school each day for optimum learning and academic and social success.
If you know your child will be missing three or more days of school, please arrange with your child’s facilitator and the office for your child to placed on Independent Study.
