The “Young People’s Art Show,” hosted by the Acton Agua Dulce Arts Council, recently concluded its exhibition which ran from March 15 to May 3, 2025. This event was open to students in grades K-12 who attend school, are homeschooled, or reside in Acton or Agua Dulce.
Not only did our classroom-based learners participate, but our independent study program iLEAD Agua Dulce Exploration had three enthusiastic learners participate in this community art show. Fifth grader Valentina O., along with kindergartener Orla C. and 4th grader Omadelle C., proudly displayed their artwork at the Acton Library. Their participation, a testament to the creative spirit we foster through our emphasis on design thinking, was recognized with honorary certificates from Assemblyman for the 34th District Tom Lackey and California State Senator for the 23rd District Suzette Martinez Valladares.
We are incredibly proud of these learners. Their peers from iLEAD Agua Dulce Exploration even conducted a field study to the library to view the art exhibit, where they were greatly impressed by the contributions of Valentina, Orla, and Omadelle.
We look forward to seeing our iLEAD Agua Dulce Exploration learners continue to grow as artists and design thinkers!
