Create Your Masterpiece: Celebrating the Arts at iLEAD Agua Dulce!

This year, iLEAD’s theme, “Create Your Masterpiece,” comes to life as iLEAD Agua Dulce launches an exciting new arts rotation for our learners! Through a special partnership with The Music Center and funding from Proposition 28, we’re expanding our creative offerings to include dance, theater, music, and visual arts.

Each rotation lasts six to eight weeks and concludes with a presentation or performance, giving every learner the chance to showcase their creativity. This program is designed to be equitable and accessible for all learners, ensuring every child has the opportunity to explore and express their artistic potential.

• Elementary learners are wrapping up their dance rotation and will perform for families on Tuesday, October 29, at 9:00 AM. Parents are warmly invited to attend!
• Middle school learners have been exploring a wide range of artistic disciplines including drawing, painting, digital arts, dance, and drama.
• Our high school independent study learners are diving deeper into the arts through courses such as History of Rock and History of Hip-Hop, the latter offered in partnership with Antelope Valley College, and will even participate in a community mural project.
• We’re also thrilled to share that our high school program is producing a Sleepy Hollow play this year! Auditions have been held and rehearsals are underway. Stay tuned for performance details soon.

We are also thrilled to welcome a new staff member, Mr. Les! He is an expert in gardening and woodworking and will take over all specials for TK–12, including all Makery classes. Mr. Les will teach hands-on approaches, help build projects, dive deeper into gardening with all learners, and assist with our Animal Care program. We are excited to bring him on board with all his knowledge and expertise!

At iLEAD Agua Dulce, we believe the arts are essential to a complete education. Through this program, learners will create, perform, collaborate, and discover their unique voices — truly bringing our “Create Your Masterpiece” theme to life throughout the school year.
