Friday, April 26, was Glider on Campus Day at iLEAD Agua Dulce!
Special thanks to Edwards Air Force Base (Lt. Josh and Andrew), Skylark North, and iLEAD Student Aerospace Projects for sharing the excitement and love of flight with young people and the entire iLEAD Agua Dulce school community!
This year, our 8th grade learners have been immersed in the Glider Project, which provides the opportunity to understand the basics of physics and explore the impact of flight now and in the past by asking and answering this question: How can we soar up in all aspects of our lives?
Learners interacted with pilots around the aircraft as they moved through four stations. They also met with a pilot guest presenter. All iLEAD Agua Dulce learners had the chance to visit the glider and talk with the pilots. Family members joined too!
