Dear Families,
We are excited to announce the launch of our first Book at Bedtime series. Each week, a member of our amazing staff will read a story that the learners can view at bedtime or anytime throughout the day. Keeping that connection with familiar faces is so important. The stories can be found on our iLEAD Agua Dulce and iLEAD Through Play Facebook pages.
Miss Jenna starts off our first weekly "Book at Bedtime" series with the story, The Night I Followed The Dog.

Also, don’t forget to check out all of the engaging activities that Miss Bybee is doing live at 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day! You’ll find a list of daily activities on our iLEAD Through Play Facebook page.
We would like to thank all the families who Zoomed in to take a virtual tour through the PowerSchool platforms. A lot of questions were answered, and families feel more confident navigating the online learning. If you were unable to attend the various sessions and would like a tour, please reach out to your child’s facilitator. It is well worth it!
Now more than ever, play is crucial in the lives of our children, and we need to ensure that we are providing our learners with opportunities to stimulate their sense of wonder and spark their curiosity.
Play is not only beneficial for healthy brain development but also serves as a coping mechanism for anxiety and serves to buffer toxic stress. Play is also beneficial for building academic skills and essential for social and emotional resilience.
In honor of PLAY, we will be hosting a “Play Each Day” Week from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1. The goal is for all children in all grade levels to use their imaginations and immerse themselves in creativity, discovery, and joy. Because PLAY is so vital, the activities during Play Week will not be considered something “extra to do”; rather, they will be part of the learner’s work for the week.
To launch “Play Each Day Week” and learn more about the research and benefits of play, we will be Zooming a Parent University on Friday, April 24, at 3:30 p.m. We hope you will join us! The Zoom code will be emailed home. Stay tuned for the play themes for each day!
We hope you have a wonderful and healthy week!
With gratitude,
Lisa Latimer
