We had a wonderful week back and the learners have been busy diving into their daily routines and upcoming projects. This week and next week, the learners will be taking their winter NWEA MAP assessments. This is an important assessment that shows the learner’s growth, areas where they need to be challenged, and areas where they may need extra support. Please make sure to read the Weekly Update from your child’s facilitator for the specific days of assessing.
A friendly reminder to fill out your child’s health screening each morning and to have your child bring a water bottle to school each day. As our water fountains remain closed, we have purchased water filling stations to fill up their bottles. We hope you have a fantastic week!
On January 17th we celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Observed on the third Monday in January each year, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the only national holiday dedicated as a day of service. On this day, we are encouraged to volunteer and help make our communities a better place. Today is a great day to reflect on how you can help make a difference.
Please watch the video below if you would like to view his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
