Dear Families,
Children are natural scientists. They come into the world with a curiosity to experiment, create, and utilize their sense of wonder. They use what they discover not only to adapt the structure of their brains, but also to strengthen the skills they need to continue being engaged, flexible learners for their whole lives. Play builds the imagination, fosters creativity, promotes curiosity, and helps to ease anxiety. Play is the way in which children of all ages find connectedness. With decades of research, the evidence keeps mounting that the best way for children to learn and thrive is through play.
We are excited to announce that on Friday, May 5, from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM, we will be hosting our Annual Family Play Day for TK-5th grade, with our middle and high school learners leading the activities.
There will be lots of fun, engagement, music, and more for the whole family!
