Dear Families,
I am so proud of our learners and how well the school year has been progressing over these last few weeks. Thank you to our amazing families who continue to support us in so many ways, it is truly appreciated.
I am writing to inform you that I, unfortunately, have to take an unexpected personal leave. I will be out from Monday, September 20 through Monday, October 25th. Nicole Padovich, former iLEAD School Director, and Natasha Baugh, the Director of Employee Services, from iLEAD CA will be here to support our staff, learners and families in my absence.
Please continue to reach out to our office with any needs or questions. Gladys Ramirez and Nicole Higdon will continue to support you. I appreciate your understanding and I look forward to seeing everyone in a few short weeks.
With gratitude,
Lisa Latimer
Director
iLEAD Agua Dulce
We have been working hard to bring our imagination to life as we co-design our high school experience. Now all the pieces of the mosaic are beginning to come together.
In September, we complete the planning phase and learners will pitch their project design through a mini Presentation Of Learning to learners, facilitators and staff on September 30. After gathering feedback from the attendees, they will make the necessary revisions to bring their proposed projects to life. In October, learners will build out their vision and invite our community to join us on October 26 for the unveiling of their first portfolio entry during the Presentation of Learning.
Please mark your calendars for our upcoming Individualized Learning Plan Conferences (ILP) that will take place on September 23 and 24, and October 1. The link to sign up is in the weekly Falcon Chronicles. All of the ILP days are minimum days and families will come to campus for their appointment time only. During this conference, learners will take leadership in sharing their goals and the action plan of how to attain them for the first semester. We look forward to experiencing this event together as we support our learners’ growth and progress toward their goals which we will reflect on at the end of the semester during Learner Led Conferences.
Wishing everyone a BEAU-Tiful week.
Wholeheartedly,
Armine Movsisyan, Ed.D., MA, ASC
