Here at iLEAD Agua Dulce, we get truly excited when we see our learners bring their passions to life through Project-Based Learning (PBL). And recently, we had a fantastic example of just that!
We are thrilled to celebrate Michael’s outstanding work on his STEM project — a fully functional seismograph! A 5th grader in Sonia Kurfess’s class, Michael thoughtfully integrated science, technology, engineering, and math to design and build this innovative tool. From conceptualizing how seismic waves move, to engineering the structure, to using mathematical thinking for accuracy, Michael applied his knowledge with purpose and creativity.
We are incredibly proud of the way he brought this project to life, demonstrating not just content mastery but true curiosity and ingenuity. This is exactly the kind of learning we strive for — meaningful, integrated, and learner-driven.
