Dear Families,
It was so much fun to see all of you at our first Car Parade of the year! We hope the school supply bag was helpful as well. We will continue to build our community events by modeling what we want our learners to do: Be creative, problem-solve, and begin with the end in mind.
We have a lot of fun school events coming up over the next few weeks. We hope you will take advantage of our first Scholastic Book Fair and Chipotle Takeout Fundraiser. Stay tuned for more events coming soon!
As part of our project-based learning program, we believe it’s essential to connect learners to “experts in the field.” It helps learners understand various aspects of their current projects and gives them a broader view of different careers. If you would like to share career knowledge with our learners, please reach out to nicole.higdon@ileadaguadulce.org so we can create an inventory of people we can call on to be guest speakers. For our first project, we are looking for people who work in the toy industry.
Finally, don’t forget that this week our learners will be MAP assessing. The MAP assessment is incredibly important, as it gives us specific data on where learners need extra support and where they need to be challenged more. The data will help us personalize your child’s learning.
We hope you have a wonderful week!
