College and Career Planning at iLEAD Agua Dulce

Personalized Guidance to Launch Your Future

In an ever-changing world, iLEAD Agua Dulce High School (iAD HS) supports learners on highly individualized paths to success. Whether that be direct entry to high-paying apprenticeship, vocational school, community college, the workforce, or a four-year college, iAD HS ensures that all learners know who they are and what their strengths are and helps them utilize resources on campus and in the community to ensure they are ready to get where they want to be. iAD HS is committed to personally guiding each learner throughout their years and on their path to college and career. iAD HS’s academic counselor works diligently for every learner to help map out a plan to succeed in academic achievement, personal/social development, and college/career readiness. This includes working with learners to develop four-year plans to meet graduation requirements and college/career readiness indicators and to explore and prepare for the wide range of options after high school.

Beyond Planning

iAD HS’s approach to the postsecondary planning process is driven by the following question: How can I maximize my high school experience and make choices that are the right fit for my passions and future?

iAD HS goes beyond planning. Utilizing a one-of-a-kind aptitude and interest assessment, learners map out who they are, where they want to be, and how to best utilize their high school experience to get there. The following individualized and hands-on activities ensure that learners are actively engaging in experiences to ensure success after graduation:

  • Personalized graduation planning
  • Aptitude and interest assessments
  • Career-connected learning through projects, advisory, and electives
  • Field studies and college visits
  • College/career fairs
  • Mentorship, internship, and work-based learning opportunities
  • Portfolio development for résumé, letters of recommendation, and networking
  • Industry-recognized certifications
  • College credit courses
  • IB advanced coursework and IB Career-Related Programme Certification
  • A-G Coursework to support college admissions

Proven Results

One hundred percent of iAD HS’s first graduating class met California’s rigorous definition of College/Career Ready. Only 45 percent of California graduates met this expectation in 2024, demonstrating that iAD HS’s model not only supports each learner’s personalized journey but ensures that all activities, experiences, and effort lead to readiness for the future.
